Caitlin Bailey is an independent filmmaker, specializing in science and natural history. She is a contractor with the Global Foundation for Ocean Exploration, creating products on various ocean exploration missions with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Her home ship is the Okeanos Explorer, currently exploring the Gulf of Mexico after a three-year mission in the Pacific. She has also been to the Chukchi Borderlands in the Arctic aboard the United States Coast Guard Cutter Healy.

Caitlin has a Master of Fine Arts in Science and Natural History Filmmaking from Montana State University – Bozeman. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. Her credentials include work with National Geographic, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Montana PBS, the Ocean Exploration Trust, and the Montana University System.
